Service Description

Tired of spending all your money on small jars of commercially prepared glaze? This workshop is designed to unveil the secrets behind cone 6 electric glaze technology so you can easily mix up your own glazes at a fraction of the cost, with just a few basic ingredients. Learn what constitutes a glaze, which ingredients are used for different effects (matte, satin, or translucent surfaces); how to test and combine oxides and stains to achieve the colors you desire; ways to troubleshoot problem glazes and adjust them to your liking; plus hands-on testing techniques and more! Class fee include follow-up analysis of fired test pieces AND Q&A session from 2pm-3:30pm on May 7.
