Service Description

Class meets at 7 to 9 pm Wednesdays, Apr. 19 - May 24, 2023: - This series of 6 consecutive weekly classes in pottery making is designed to help potters with basic wheel-throwing experience advance their skills in design, throwing, decorating, and assembly. Specific advanced techniques will demonstrate how to make different types of lids and feet, how to make large forms, how to make spouts, thrown-and-altered forms, throwing matched sets, and handle making. Class fee includes clay for use during classes and up to 4 hours per week of optional practice time during "Open Studio" sessions on Mondays (5-9pm) or Saturdays (12-4 pm). Use of studio glazes and firing of works made during class is also included in the fee. (Online advance reservation for each optional "open studio" practice session is required.) For individual cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to receive a credit. (Group bookings for less than 8 people must be cancelled 7 days prior to event for credit.)
